Supporting The WEF

September 10, 2010

Jomarie O’Mahony, the president of the Wilmington Educational Foundation, and I had a great meeting yesterday to discuss the critical need for student resources and technology in our schools.  We both had a laugh when we realized that she is a visible leader in her community and that people now call me Mr. Mahoney as we have known each other since the late 1980’s when we were both about twelve years old.

We spoke about the need to continually support the students of Wilmington so that they have the best education possible.  I would describe Mrs. O’Mahony as someone ‘who gets it’.  Mrs. O’Mahony is a ‘Yes we can’ person, a person of action and a person who wants the very best for all of the Wilmington Public Schools.

Please think about supporting or joining the WEF.  The organization does wonderful things for our schools and in these tough financial times they need all the support we can give them.  The WEF can be reached via phone at 978-694-6000 or online at http://www.wilmingtoneducationalfoundation.org/
